Fundraising Results

Thanks to the enthusiastic support of the community, the event raised over $34,000 to support local and international charities. Since its inception in 2014, Bacon Bash has generated more than $262,000 for organizations such as the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, Scouting America, Girl Scouts of America, Boys & Girls Clubs, THRIVE Peninsula, the Virginia Living Museum, and many other service projects focused on meeting needs in our local community.

As part of the festivities, ten restaurants competed in six culinary award categories, and four entered the cocktail competition. This year’s winners were:

  • Judges’ Choice: Dough Haus — Maple & Bacon Donuts & Fritters
  • People’s Choice – Restaurant: Sate’ – A New American Experience — Pork Belly Fried Rice with Duck Egg, Pineapple, and Sesame Seed
  • People’s Choice – Cocktail: Cove Tavern — Bacon Bourbon Caramel Cheesecake Martini
